4s = specific, simple, strategic, and special.
1c = consistent.
1. Specific:
The first thing that separates authority-building content from non-authority-building content is specificity. If it's not specific to a certain subject, certain people, or a certain problem, it won't build authority.
Tip: Talk to specific people about specific things.
2. Simple:
Authority-building content explains complex ideas with simplicity. Simple content shows your audience that you know your stuff and you are good at explaining it.
Tip: Avoid big words and industry jargon.
3. Strategic:
Authority-building content helps your audience achieve their goals and transform over time. It does not only benefit your audience but also you as a creator.
Tip: Create content to achieve your business goals.
4. Special:
Authority-building content makes your audience believe they can't find anything like yours anywhere else. It makes them feel special by having the opportunity to consume it.
Tip: Your perspective makes your content special, not the tools.
1c. If you have every S but not the one C, it's probably not worth it.
1. Consistent.
If your content is inconsistent, your audience won't stick around. If you can't keep them, you can't build anything. No need to prioritize quantity over quality, but you have to find a balance.
Tip: If you want to create good content consistently create a system.
Hope it helps.
In next week's newsletter, I'll share how to create good content seven days a week.
