Sorry, I couldn't send a newsletter last week.
I was busy finishing The LinkedIn Carousel System, now released.
I'll get to that in a sec, but here's why you should post more carousels.
So, in the last 448 days, I posted 186 carousels that got me 3.7 million views, 12K likes, 5K comments, and 846 shares.
If you look at my total stats during this period (410 posts, over 4 million views, 21K likes, 11K comments, and 315 shares), you will notice that most of my success is due to carousels.
See the comparison between carousels and everything else I posted for 448 days:
You should post more carousels because:
They take up more screen space than anything else on a device making them really hard to ignore for your audience.
Caorusels lets you use text, images, charts, graphs, and so much more to engage, entertain, and sell.
They're great for sharing how-tos, lists, stories, and even opinions, no matter what industry you're in.
How to write/design carousels consistently?
I use two processes, one for copywriting and one for designing.
Here's the copywriting process:
1. I choose a topic that helps me achieve a business goal.
2. I write the first slide, short, just a couple of words.
3. I write the second slide; it tells what they'll get next.
4. I write five more slides. Every slide advances the story.
5. On the 8th slide, I write the summary/recap, etc.
6. On the 9th slide, I advertise my book/newsletter.
7. The 10th slide is my photo and bio.
Here's the design process:
1. I spend 80% of my time on the cover.
2. I don't design anything in the slides, I use the template.
3. I just replace the old text with new text, that's it.
Skills I use:
a. research, b. copywriting, and c. design
Tools I use:
a. google, b. docs, and c. canva.
More carousels. More visibility. More authority.
Now, what’s The LinkedIn Carousel System?
It's a dead-simple guide and a pack of 5 Canva templates you can use to create a carousel in 10-20 minutes.
If you want to create dead-simple carousels in minutes, this is for you.
Check it out here: The LinkedIn Carousel System.
Just one request.
If you like my newsletter, the best compliment you can give me is to forward it to one friend who you think would get something out of it.
See you again next week.
Cheers,
🙏
